About The Position

Skill Creations, Inc. of Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Facility Director for its 2 6-bed 24-hour residential facilities. The primary focus of this role is to ensure all needs of the individuals residing in the facility are met according to their Person-Centered Plan. This involves supervising Direct Support Professionals, dietary employees, and administrative assistants. The Director is also responsible for managing the physical building and grounds, vehicles, and specialized equipment. A thorough understanding of regulatory agency requirements, state standards, and SCI procedures is crucial for providing quality care, appropriate training, and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for the residents. This is a 24-hour facility, requiring a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend activities. The Director will serve as the disaster chief during emergencies and must participate in an on-call rotation, potentially being available 24/7.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree preferred; other education with administrative experience could be considered
  • Clinical knowledge of intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive company vehicles (3 yrs. Driving experience, driving record that meets our insurability standards)
  • Working personal phone.
  • Computer skills are needed for e-mails, operating/ utilizing electronic health records, electronic training modules and entering/recording data.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead administrator in 2 6-bed 24-hour residential facilities.
  • Ensure all needs of the individuals residing in the facility are met as outlined in the Person Centered Plan.
  • Provide supervision to Direct Support Professional employees, dietary employees and administrative assistants.
  • Oversee and manage the physical building/grounds, vehicles and specialized equipment.
  • Assure individuals receive quality care, appropriate training and live in a healthy and safe environment.
  • Be present to serve as disaster chief in times of adverse weather or other emergencies.
  • Participate in an On-Call rotation, being available by phone or in person 24/7.
