About The Position

Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is hiring experienced Facility Cooks for juvenile residential facilities in the Bronx and Brooklyn, New York. The role involves preparing, cooking, and serving meals in a fast-paced institutional kitchen while following approved recipes, dietary guidelines, and food-safety standards. The position offers flexible shifts and immediate openings. Pay is $26.90 per hour, with weekly pay. Full-time, flexible, and per-diem positions are available.

Requirements

Valid NYC Food Protection Certificate.
Minimum 1–2 years of commercial, institutional, or facility cooking experience.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
Experience working with commercial kitchen equipment.
Ability to work weekends and holidays when needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience in residential, juvenile, shelter, healthcare, or community-based facilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to approved recipes and dietary guidelines.
Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule, including breakfasts and packed lunches.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in kitchen and dining areas.
Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and properly.
Supervise and assist kitchen helpers and support staff as needed.
Monitor food inventory and complete production logs and documentation.
Follow all NYC food safety and health regulations.
Support meal service operations within the facility environment.
