About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Facility Attendant to join their team at their program in Philadelphia, PA. This role is responsible for monitoring residents' behavior, ensuring a safe and harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery. The attendant will perform building checks for cleanliness and safety, including all rooms. They will also be responsible for incident reporting, monitoring residents during medication intake, reporting medication issues, monitoring assigned chores, and ensuring general inspections are completed properly. Additionally, the attendant must complete assigned trainings within mandated time frames.

Requirements

  • 18 years old minimum required

Nice To Haves

  • High School or GED preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous experience working with VA population preferred
  • Prior experience in Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment setting is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor residents' behavior.
  • Ensure a safe, harassment free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
  • Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (this includes all rooms).
  • Incident reporting to include writing incident reports, reporting immediately to supervisor, or program manager and following procedures as stated in Merakey policy.
  • Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy.
  • Monitor assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure that general inspections (GI's) are done properly.
  • Complete assigned trainings within mandated time frames.
