Bi-lingual Facility Attendant
About The Position
Merakey is seeking a Facility Attendant to join their team at their Fresh Start transitional housing program in Philadelphia, PA. This program provides 24/7 support to Veterans and individuals with a history of homelessness, chemical dependency, and behavioral health issues. The Facility Attendant will monitor residents' behavior, ensure a safe and harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery, and perform building checks for cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities also include incident reporting, monitoring residents' medication, overseeing assigned chores, and completing assigned training.
Requirements
- High School or GED required
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Effective communication skills
- 18 years old minimum required
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' behavior.
- Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
- Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (this includes all rooms).
- Write incident reports, reporting immediately to supervisor, or program manager and following procedures as stated in Merakey policy.
- Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy.
- Monitor assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure that general inspections (GI's) are done properly.
- Complete assigned training within mandated time frames.
