About The Position

This posting is for part-time Facilities Worker positions only. This is a temporary part-time position with a 32-hour cap per week in accordance with City of Fort Lauderdale Policy and Standards Manual. This position is At-Will and is not covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement or the Personnel Rules. Work requires strenuous physical outdoor work, often under unfavorable conditions. Work is generally performed under the immediate direction of a supervisor; however, many assignments are very routine and repetitive in nature and after learned can be performed without difficulty under only general supervision.

Requirements

• Possess a current and valid State of Florida Class "E" driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Some knowledge of manual maintenance work methods, procedures, tools, equipment and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assignments will vary according to the specific department needs and work location.
• Employees may be required to work immediately before, during, and/or after an emergency.
• All employees must be available and able to work assigned shifts as determined by their Department Heads.
