You will support and improve facility operations by your knowledge and experience of wastewater treatment applications, working principles of wastewater treatment, environmental technology, lab best practices, sample collection & analysis. Requirements

  • Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification is required from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
  • 5+ years of experience as a wastewater plant operator in a commercial or industrial environment with experience working in lab environments.
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • High school, technical diploma, or equivalent technical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to troubleshoot and a general mechanical aptitude.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and SAP.
  • Familiarity with good manufacturing practice, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written skills for creating procedures, specifications, and maintenance plans.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for wastewater plant objectives and testing (chemical, organic, biological), including sample collection, sample preparation and submission, and submitting regulatory compliance reports.
  • Act as the facility subject matter expert for wastewater systems including; reviewing check sheets, controlled documents and maintain technical reference materials to ensure all regulatory compliance.
  • Represent wastewater operations in regulatory audits, support deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change control management.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute shutdowns and mid-level projects, ensuring resources meet schedules, regulations, and safety standards; Write HECP’s/HECA’s where applicable.
  • Respond to on call to emergencies and maintenance malfunctions, coordinate daily priorities, and adapt plans for supply or personnel changes.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex operational problems; provide technical guidance to other trades and cross-functional teams.
  • Schedule and manage outside contractors; create work orders and issue work permits; escort contractors; deliver contractor safety training.
  • Maintain required SCADA system, SAP and Veeva accesses; ensure all documentation (logbooks, permits, work orders) is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure safety policy adherence and safe work practices, work order compliance, and training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, maintenance plans, and safety documentation.
