About The Position

Siltronic is seeking a Facilities Wastewater Technician I for the Night Shift. This role involves maintaining and operating equipment and systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The technician will be instrumental in analyzing and repairing equipment issues, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and interpreting complex documents and manuals. Collaboration with fellow technicians is key to driving operations forward, with a focus on areas like RODI, waste treatment, boilers, compressors, and other machinery. The role also requires monitoring data to meet regulatory standards and maintaining a safe work environment, including hazardous waste handling and awareness.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of industry-related experience.
  • Knowledge of safety / environmental rules.
  • Ability to lift / carry / push / pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit / stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use office equipment, phones, laptop effectively for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move from one building to another across our headquarters.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RODI, waste treatment, boilers, compressors, and other various types of machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate equipment and systems to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Analyze and repair equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Read, learn, and interpret complex documents and manuals.
  • Report on findings and correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians to drive operations forward.
  • Expand expertise in areas like RODI, waste treatment, boilers, compressors, and other various types of machinery.
  • Work with different teams as needed in emergency situations or to help train others.
  • Monitor data and report findings to meet regulatory standards (local, state, federal).
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Remain up to date and be responsible for understanding the hazards in the workplace, including hazardous waste handling and awareness.
