About The Position

Seeking an experienced skilled Tradesperson to join the Facilities and Services team. This role performs a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. The technician may be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, mason, and/or roofer. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, and performing standard repairs to building facilities, including carpentry, masonry, and welding maintenance tasks. This also involves routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window, roof, cabinet and countertop replacement, door and hardware installation, masonry repairs, and new installation of ceramic tile, cinder block, plaster, and concrete. Heavy equipment work as appropriate is also part of the duties. The technician will inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine maintenance and repair needs, recommend economical solutions for changes and improvements, and issue work requests to the appropriate authority.

Requirements

• High School diploma or higher degree.
• Experience in skilled trades.
