About The Position

Requirements

Solid understanding of principles, methods, and materials for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry installation and repair.
Proficiency in operating hand, power, and shop tools.
Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
Basic computer literacy for web-based work order tracking and maintaining accurate logs.
Ability to safely operate small vehicles like vans, pickup trucks, and forklifts.
Adeptness in shop mathematics.
Hands-on experience with facility operating systems.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled trades duties vital for the library's smooth operation.
Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems.
Troubleshoot HVAC systems.
Perform electrical repairs.
Maintain the Library's structural integrity.
