About The Position
Responsible for assisting Facilities Manager with maintenance of all buildings and equipment owned and/or operated by Encompass, assuring that they are properly maintained to provide a safe, clean and orderly environment for children. This individual will perform general maintenance tasks at all of Encompass’s centers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience in facilities maintenance preferred
- Advanced knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance requests as scheduled or directed by the Facilities Manager
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
- Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds
- Ability to safely operation lawn and snow removal equipment
- Support the Encompass mission, demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality in all encounters
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs at all Encompass locations
- Ensure lawn maintenance and snow removal meet agency needs
- Assist with maintenance of Encompass owned vehicles and outdoor playground equipment
- Assume Facilities Manager’s functions in his absence
- Serve as backup to Transport Service Provider, upon request
- Work cooperatively with support departments regarding facility and maintenance issues
- Complete accurately and on time all required reports and/or necessary office recordkeeping
- Exhibit agency values in daily work and demonstrate commitment to the agency mission
- Perform other related duties as requested
