About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and upkeep of all company facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is expected to be proactive and hands-on, with the ability to support multiple facilities as needed, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in facilities or a related field (experience can be substituted for relevant technical training).
High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with technical training courses.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

Advanced education is a plus, but not critical.
Technical certification or associate degree, preferred

Responsibilities

Complete basic maintenance tasks assigned by Facility Manager with minimal oversight needed.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Maintain inventory and utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Keep accurate records of completed work, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Collaborate with facility users, tenants, or supervisors regarding maintenance needs and solutions.
Interface with professional contractors for projects and tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, addressing minor cleaning or janitorial needs.
Respond promptly to work orders and service requests to minimize disruption.
May perform minor renovations or installations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
