About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment components through established preventative maintenance (PM) and work order processes. This role involves working with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing fixtures, and other miscellaneous machinery across various facilities. The technician will ensure regulatory compliance through efficient equipment operations, complete all required documentation, and assist with the repair, testing, and inspection of fire safety, life safety, communication, and electrical components. Maintenance assignments may be performed in any facility area as directed, and all equipment must be tested and inspected for compliance with applicable codes and standards before being placed into service. The technician will perform assigned work orders in a timely manner, adhering strictly to established policies, procedures, and safety rules, including lock-out tag-out procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent gained through previous experience.
  • Use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement provided may be required.
  • Must be a safe, licensed, insured driver in the state of Pennsylvania and current evidence of same must be on file at all times.
  • Ability to use independent judgment, working with minimal supervision.
  • 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician or in a related field.
  • EPA section 608 (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, repairs, and installs equipment components through established preventative maintenance (PM) and work order process as assigned.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in our various facilities.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs water coolers, sinks, toilets, hot shot's and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs other misc. machinery such as blanket warmers, carts, etc., other as required.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance through efficient equipment operations.
  • Completes all documentation as required.
  • Assists with repair, testing and inspection of fire safety, life safety, communication and electrical components of the utility and safety systems.
  • Performs maintenance assignments in any facility areas as directed.
  • Conducts tests, inspections and equipment checks on equipment in inventory prior to placing into service at any system facility site, ensuring compliance with all applicable code requirements and standards.
  • Perform assigned work orders through established process in a timely manner.
  • Follow established policies and procedures with strict adherence to safety rules.
  • Knowledgeable of and exhibits willingness to implement lock-out tag-out procedures as required.
