About The Position

Flagstaff Academy seeks a part-time facilities technician. The hours are flexible (30-40 hours a week during the summer and approximately 20 per week during the school year), which may be ideal for a student or someone looking for a flexible schedule. The position would be responsible for assisting our Facilities Manager with general maintenance and operations of our school building. This is a great opportunity to learn from a top facilities manager, who will be the direct supervisor for this role. We are looking for someone that is a team player, has a positive attitude, and a constant willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including general upkeep and minor repairs under the supervision of the Facilities Manager. This could include changing/installing lights and/or fixtures, general repair and painting, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work, and other specific projects for the school.
• Assist with moving furniture from one classroom to another.
• Oversee and perform the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan and break-downs.
• Assist the Safety Supervisor and Facilities Manager with any safety and security needs around the grounds of the facility.
• Help shovel snow and remove ice on sidewalks during inclement weather.
