About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities Technician to support building operations, maintenance activities, and overall facility performance. This role is responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards while ensuring all building systems operate efficiently with minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • 6–12 months of experience in facilities or building maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general repair)
  • Working knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use work order systems and basic computer tools
  • Physically capable of working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, confined spaces, and fast-paced environments
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare or commercial facilities environments
  • Familiarity with safety protocols such as PPE and lockout/tagout procedures

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns
  • Carry out basic repairs such as filter changes, minor leaks, lighting replacements, and equipment adjustments
  • Assist in monitoring building automation systems and report any anomalies
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders to minimize operational disruptions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine facility issues; escalate complex problems as needed
  • Participate in emergency response procedures and on-call rotation when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms and maintenance areas
  • Perform general upkeep tasks including minor carpentry, painting, and hardware repairs
  • Support third-party vendors and contractors during service visits
  • Accurately document inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs in work order systems
  • Track inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance processes, safety practices, and facility operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
