About The Position

The Facilities Technician will focus on preventative maintenance, scheduling of repairs and site visits to our Indiana-based properties. The Facilities Technician will collaborate with the AVP of Property Management in making repair recommendations based on department and company goals & objectives, and will oversee repairs in a timely fashion, communicate progress and collaborate with the Facilities Team to ensure the staff and tenants are not heavily impacted by maintenance or mechanical issues. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree preferred or 4 years of relevant experience in Facilities management.
  • Technical certifications for HVAC are preferred.
  • Experience in Building Management Systems, plumbing and electrical are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Client Relations and Customer Service Oriented.
  • To think quickly with unexpected challenges arise while multi-tasking other assigned duties.
  • Availability to occasionally work extended hours in order to meet altered timelines and/or events.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Current location within a commutable distance of Carmel, IN.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preventive maintenance, scheduling of repairs, and inspections.
  • Maintain organized and shareable records.
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets according to established Service Level Expectations.
  • Review Building Management System (BMS) daily and advise/report issues or concerns to management.
  • Conduct routine and scheduled property walks.
  • Assist with event set ups and company amenity needs.
  • Routine visits to all Indiana locations
