About The Position

The primary role of the Facilities Maintenance position is to ensure that we have a safe, secure, and productive work environment which requires a good working knowledge of a wide range of maintenance skills, involving construction and repair. Responsibilities include basic carpentry, painting, drywall, tile repairs, plumbing, electrical, and transportation of ranch assets & property to various parts of the ranch. May assist heavy equipment operator with rigging of loads, spot checks, and delivery of materials to job site. This role requires working in various work environments, including traversing remote areas of the Ranch on foot to effectively perform his/her job.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of a wide range of maintenance skills, involving construction and repair.
  • Basic carpentry, painting, drywall, tile repairs, plumbing, electrical.
  • Transportation of ranch assets & property to various parts of the ranch.
  • Assist heavy equipment operator with rigging of loads, spot checks, and delivery of materials to job site.
  • Working in various work environments, including traversing remote areas of the Ranch on foot.
  • Prioritize tasks and department needs into daily, weekly, and/or monthly work schedules.
  • Plan for the regular inspection and repair of equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards in the workplace by integrating safety practices and protocol.
  • Perform general repairs and routine maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of facilities maintenance shop.
  • Ordering of supplies and materials as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Construct, repair and maintain facilities using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Make estimates of cost, time and materials required to perform maintenance work.
  • Install new and perform repairs to existing structures as required.
  • Monitor supply of building materials and consumable items restocking accordingly.
  • Operate industrial equipment such as backhoe, bobcat, forklift, and service trucks.
  • Install, inspect, maintain and repair Ranch water systems pump stations enclosures.

Responsibilities

  • JOB PLANNING – Support Ranch activities and operations, by prioritizing tasks and department needs into daily, weekly, and/or monthly work schedules; Plan for the regular inspection and repair of equipment and facilities; Ensure compliance with OSHA standards in the workplace by integrating safety practices and protocol.
  • REGULAR MAINTENANCE - Perform general repairs and routine maintenance of equipment and facilities located at various areas of the Ranch, including remote areas that may be difficult to access; Clean and assist with upkeep of faclities maintenance shop. Ordering of supplies and materials as needed; Identify and troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • REPAIR AND INSTALLATION – Employee will be assigned projects located in various areas of the Ranch based on his/her area of specialty, which may include the following: 1. CONSTRUCTION - Construct, repair and maintain facilities using a variety of tools and equipment; makes estimates of cost, time and materials required to perform maintenance work; Installs new and performs repairs to existing structures as required. 2. INVENTORY - Monitors supply of building materials and consumable items restocking accordingly. 3. HEAVY EQUIPMENT – Operate industrial equipment such as backhoe, bobcat, forklift, and service trucks. 4. WATER - Install, inspect, maintain and repair Ranch water systems pump stations enclosures. 5. RANCH OPERATIONS - Other assignments may require your help to address the ranch operations' priorities.
