About The Position

Seeking an experienced skilled Tradesperson to join the Facilities and Services team. This position performs a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. The role may involve performing tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, mason, and/or roofer. The technician will monitor, maintain, and perform standard repairs to building facilities, including carpentry, masonry, and welding maintenance tasks. This includes routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window, roof, cabinet and countertop replacement, door, and hardware installation. Masonry repairs and new installation of ceramic tile, cinder block, plaster, and concrete are also part of the duties, along with heavy equipment work as appropriate. The technician will inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine maintenance and repair needs and recommend economical solutions for changes and improvements to their superior, issuing work requests to the appropriate authority.
