About The Position

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds across Logan Health’s diverse locations, including outbuildings, jobsites, and affiliates. We have As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of essential maintenance tasks that support our commitment to providing high-quality care. From troubleshooting and repairs to routine inspections and preventive maintenance, you will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both our staff and patients. The new pay range, based on years of experience, is now $22 - $29.70 per hour.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in general maintenance, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical fields is preferred.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • A valid Current Driver's License is required.
  • Driving record must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e., DUI, felony convictions involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three or more speeding tickets, or other moving violations) within the last 36 months.
  • If using a personal vehicle for Logan Health business, state law minimum liability coverage limits must be met.
  • Strong understanding of occupational hazards and safety standards, including regulations set forth by OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and ASHRAE.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven ability in a variety of skilled trades related to facility and grounds maintenance, repairs, procedures, and techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for facility and grounds maintenance and repairs is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings related to construction is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, perform preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, and address routine maintenance problems in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintenance and repairs include, but are not limited to, electrical systems, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, lighting, carpentry, flooring, vehicles, Life Safety equipment, laundry equipment, and pool/spa operations, as applicable for assigned area(s).
  • Perform pest management duties and pesticide applications as needed.
  • Safely and efficiently operate, secure, service, store, and clean assigned area(s) vehicles, machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Exhibit efficiency in the use of time, products, materials, and assist in controlling material and labor costs for assigned area(s).
  • Utilize self-initiative to assume repair and maintenance assignments, working with minimal supervision.
