Requirements

• High School diploma or higher degree.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to cut and issue keys, re-key, install and repair locks and hardware.
• Ability to interpret, implement, and maintain pre-defined master key systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair both mechanical locking and electronic access control devices.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance and/or repairs on structural building systems.
• Performs non-technical maintenance tasks on the mechanical systems inside of campus buildings, including piping and individual components for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• Performs non-technical maintenance tasks on the electrical systems inside of buildings, including routine inspection and testing of emergency egress lighting, switches, outlets, photocells, and changing light bulbs and fixtures.
• Performs non-technical maintenance tasks on the plumbing systems inside of campus buildings, including all components and fixtures associated with domestic water, wastewater, and natural gas systems.
