About The Position

The Facilities Technician maintains, installs, and repairs facility and automation equipment within the Distribution Center. The role supports warehouse operations by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment, conveyor systems, and building systems, while following safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout. The technician communicates repair status and operational impacts to the Facilities Manager and Operations leaders and team members. The position also supports warehouse and building projects, maintains the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), work orders, and inventory, and performs other related duties as assigned. The schedule is identified as second shift, with overtime, off-shifts, and weekend work as needed.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience in a similar role.
Experience with basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment.
Basic computer proficiency to enter work performed, identify assignments, and use MS Outlook.
Ability to MIG and Stick weld and use tools effectively and safely.
Ability to operate facility powered equipment, including yard trucks, forklifts, and maintenance vehicles.
Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals in paper or electronic formats.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to understand and explain related issues.
Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and respond to urgent matters to minimize operational downtime.
Flexibility to work overtime, off-shifts, and weekends as needed to support operations or complete project work.

Nice To Haves

High school education or equivalent preferred.
Additional related training is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems while following safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout.
Repair and perform preventive maintenance on building equipment, including air compressors, heating and ventilation systems, and plumbing and electrical equipment.
Perform welding repairs as needed.
Communicate repair status and potential operational impacts to the Facilities Manager and Operations leaders and team members.
Perform project work supporting daily warehouse operations and building projects as assigned.
Maintain the CMMS, work orders, and inventory management.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
