About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and functioning of mechanical/electrical equipment supporting the facility. The technician will perform necessary repairs, maintenance, or coordinate with outside vendors. Responsibilities also include managing the agency's fleet of vehicles, ensuring their upkeep, and reporting any operational issues. Additionally, the role involves maintaining vehicle registrations, insurance, and safety inspections, and ensuring vehicles are equipped with safety gear. The technician will perform carpentry tasks such as drywall repair, window and cabinet replacement, painting, and door installation. Regular maintenance of facilities and tooling machines is also a key duty. Collaboration with the management team is expected to maintain consistent maintenance standards across all facilities. Daily checks of primary buildings for cosmetic and minor repair needs are required, along with timely completion of work orders through an electronic system. The technician must submit all maintenance-related invoices and receipts promptly and develop and maintain an inventory of tools and spare parts. Job assignments may be adjusted as needed to ensure comprehensive facility services.

Requirements

  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical/electrical equipment.
  • Fleet maintenance and vehicle care.
  • Carpentry maintenance tasks (sheetrock/drywall, window replacement, cabinet replacement, painting, door installation).
  • Regularly scheduled maintenance on facilities and tooling machines.
  • Daily building inspections.
  • Completion of Work Orders via electronic system.
  • Submission of invoices/receipts for maintenance charges.
  • Development and maintenance of spare parts inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all mechanical/electrical equipment supporting the facility is maintained and functioning properly.
  • Make necessary repairs and/or perform maintenance where appropriate or consult for outside vendor support.
  • Responsible for agency Fleet maintenance, vehicle care and reporting of any operational issues regarding them to the Facilities Operations Manager.
  • Keep agency vehicles registration, insurance cards, and safety inspections up to date and stocked with appropriate vehicle safety equipment.
  • Perform carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and countertop replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation, paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate.
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all facilities and tooling machines, including support equipment.
  • Work in conjunction with the management team to ensure a consistent level of maintenance in all facilities according to organizational regulations.
  • Check primary buildings daily as assigned, and inspect facilities for carpet stains, marks on walls that need touch-up, damaged or stained ceiling tiles, bent or broken window blinds.
  • Complete Work Orders via the electronic system in a timely manner noting completion and other comments when necessary.
  • Provide Facilities Operations Manager with all invoices/receipts for maintenance related charges (vehicle repairs, gas, cleaning supplies, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
  • Job assignments may be added, deleted, or modified to ensure overall facility services are provided.
