About The Position

This role involves a dual responsibility of providing facilities maintenance support and driving services. The Facilities Maintenance Support aspect includes performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to maintenance requests, managing tools and equipment, assisting with office setups and logistics, coordinating with external contractors, supporting events, and maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities. The Driving and Transportation aspect includes operating company vehicles for staff and material transport, adhering to road safety regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing regular checks, assisting with loading and unloading, and documenting vehicle-related activities.

Requirements

  • Possesses a valid Class 3 driving licence with a clean driving record

  • Preferably with at least 2 years of driving experience in a school van

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repair work.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests/emergencies from staff and management to minimise service disruption.
  • Maintain and ensure proper use, upkeep, and secure storage of maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Assist with the set-up, relocation, and dismantling of office furniture and equipment as required.
  • Coordinate with external contractors / service providers for specialised repairs or services, ensuring timely and quality completion.
  • Provide logistical support to school staff for events, including set-ups and tear-downs.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance activities in compliance with RC’s SOPs.
  • Operate company vehicles to transport staff, materials, and/or equipment safely between sites or to designated locations.
  • Adhere to road safety regulations and school policies during transportation.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleanliness of the school vehicle(s) and promptly report any issues or defects.
  • Conduct daily internal and external vehicle checks and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials and equipment to and from the vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, delivery timings and vehicle maintenance activities.
