About The Position
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Oneida/Huntsville is accepting applications for a full-time Facilities Support Associate to work at both the Oneida and Huntsville campuses Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma, HiSET (GED)
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments and manage multiple tasks
- Working knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures
- Familiarity with OSHA/TOSHA guidelines
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and operating instructions and procedures, and equipment manuals.
- Ability to work independently or with a crew
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience (2 years) as a maintenance or custodial worker
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to assume a role as crew leader
Responsibilities
- Clean all restroom facilities
- Stock/resupply all paper products and hand soap in restrooms
- Clean, buff, wax floors
- Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment
- Remove trash from classrooms, shop areas, offices, and common areas
- Clean and disinfect all work areas to reduce the risk of or potential spread of COVID-19 and/or other infectious illnesses
- Mow and keep grounds well-manicured
- Painting, changing filters, light bulbs, etc. as necessary
- Other various maintenance duties as necessary
- Close and secure the buildings nightly
