Facilities Supervisor - Full Time - Virginia

About The Position

The Facilities Supervisor coordinates the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment and structures. The role works with the management team to oversee maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors. The supervisor operates the central utility plant, including dual-fuel boilers, centrifugal chillers, medium-voltage switchgear, and diesel generators. The position is based in a large, fast-paced casino that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and permits smoking.

Requirements

Three years of experience leading or supervising facilities maintenance staff.
Grade 2 Stationary Engineer license.
Ability to adhere to deadlines in an interruptive environment.
Ability to manage a broad variety of tasks and deadlines requiring an irregular work schedule.
Ability to effectively manage people, processes, and procedures.
Ability to secure and maintain licensure required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or another applicable regulatory entity, or required by Live’s operating standards.
Ability to work in an environment where alcohol and smoking are present.
Ability and energy to move around a large casino with a true sense of urgency.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods.
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel; use hands and arms to reach; and use legs and feet to balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; the posting also states infrequently lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance and regulatory inspections.
Coach maintenance staff to develop their skills.
Operate the central utility plant, including dual-fuel boilers, centrifugal chillers, medium-voltage switchgear, and diesel generators.
Coordinate small project scheduling with other departments and vendors as needed.
Regularly perform inspections to identify areas of need and address them with team members.
Track material and parts stock.
Perform other duties as assigned.
