About The Position

At kdc/one, the Facilities Supervisor plans, directs and supervises all functions within the Facilities Department related to the overall condition, upkeep and management of the grounds, building, utilities, janitorial services and cafeteria and will work directly with the Multiple departments to build a reliable computerized maintenance management system.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in building, ground and property management with light construction experience.
  • Three to five years of experience managing third-party contracts, such as janitorial services and property management services.
  • Three years lead/supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft offices

Responsibilities

  • Motivates, coaches and develops all employees within the department. Communicates performance expectations to department employees and delivers feedback as required.
  • Maintains the condition and upkeep of the building and grounds, including but not limited to the following: Floors, Walls, Lights, Plumbing, Windows, Fire system, Elevators, Signage, Trash, Parking lot, Landscaping, Snow removal, Geese control.
  • Manages third-party contractors such as, janitorial services, property management services and pest control.
  • Directs the activity of the cafeteria staff to ensure successful and compliant operation of the cafeteria, including equipment maintenance, sanitation, fire and safety and regulatory licenses and permits.
  • Monitors and maintains building utilities for uninterrupted service, capacity planning, and conservation opportunities. Utilities include natural gas, potable water, electricity, steam, compressed air, chilled water, USP water, storm drains, and process drains.
  • Creates standard procedures, checklists, work instructions required to ensure the condition and upkeep of the building and grounds is being maintained, audited and restored.
  • Manages small projects independently, with minimal direction, such as parking lot expansions or restriping, office expansions or re-configurations, landscape alternatives and drainage issues.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and safety standards
