About The Position

The Supervisor, Facilities is responsible for overseeing and directing assigned Facilities Technicians and Senior Technicians for Planet Fitness’s corporate locations within an assigned region. They also perform other duties assigned, including but not limited to, emergency response, safety awareness and overall daily review of general repairs within the physical plant of each Corporate Club location, to deliver exceptional member experience. The assigned region for this position will cover clubs in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time, including nights and weekends
  • Have and maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record
  • Submit an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, as required
  • 4+ years of experience in facilities management for a multi-unit retail corporation
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisor capacity
  • Proven experience creating, tracking, and managing large capital budgets (Up to 10 million) with a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and City codes and regulations involving life safety
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, on time and within budget
  • Strong experience in RFP and bidding process, reviewing, and negotiating contractual terms and conditions
  • Strong knowledge of retail facilities management principals
  • Ability to create project schedules, working within tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, efficient, and organized with an ability to establish priorities and objectives
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
  • Excellent leadership skills including the ability to build teams, motivate, guide, and mentor

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains, and develops a team of certified facility maintenance technicians.
  • Partners with the Operations team to lead the facility maintenance team in the timely execution of daily work order assignments from inception through completion. Assignments will include routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance repairs as well as project work.
  • Review team performance on a weekly basis using ADP, GPS, Fitness EMS and KPI reports.
  • Monitors our company’s vehicle inventory and cleanliness.
  • Partners with the Facilities Technicians to create a club visitation structure that is updated and maintained weekly through Outlook.
  • Takes full responsibility for the continued development and maintenance of the Helpdesk/Work Order system from end to end.
  • Conducts club facility audits and club tours, partnering with Operations, to evaluate current conditions and identify repair and maintenance opportunities and CAPEX projects for the upcoming year(s) to include projected expenses and level of priority.
  • Partners with Construction on new club builds, remodels, and renovations.
  • Assists with the re-equip process by assigning new technicians to count equipment and mark up current layout, assigning technicians for extraction and installation, completing an extraction list, and following up on all items due for each re-equip.
  • Develops and maintains a schedule of preventative maintenance.
  • Continually reviews program and implement changes for improving efficiency through tracking in Fitness EMS.
  • Partners with landlords and property managers to ensure that safety issues are identified, resolved, and completed on a timely basis.
  • Field work required – quarterly club visits with each assigned technician and the Operations teams.
  • Assists the Senior Director, Facilities as needed.
