About The Position

COPE is seeking a practical, organized Facilities Supervisor to help keep our behavioral health, administrative, residential, clinic, and school locations safe, functional, and ready to serve the community. This position leads facilities employees, coordinates vendors, manages preventive maintenance and repair work, supports inspections, and responds to urgent building needs across multiple Tucson area locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, construction, property management, or a closely related field, including at least two years of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating vendors, preventive maintenance, work orders, facility inspections, and urgent repairs.
  • Working knowledge of common building systems, maintenance practices, workplace safety, and basic project and budget coordination.
  • Ability to use email, word processing, spreadsheets, work order systems, and other common business technology.
  • Valid driver license and ability to meet COPE's driving requirements throughout employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must be 21 years of age (automobile insurance requirement) and possess a valid AZ driver’s license with a “clean” or “acceptable” driving record.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise maintenance employees and the Properties Foreman and provide overall leadership and accountability for maintenance, custodial, and landscaping operations.
  • Plan preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs for heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, fire and life safety systems, grounds, and other facility assets.
  • Prioritize work orders and communicate clearly with site leaders about timelines, disruptions, and completed work.
  • Inspect facilities, identify risks, and coordinate timely correction of safety, accessibility, security, and maintenance concerns.
  • Obtain estimates, schedule vendors and contractors, verify completed work, and review invoices within assigned authority.
  • Maintain inspection, maintenance, warranty, permit, inventory, key, and project records.
  • Support budgets, capital planning, facility moves, minor renovations, and emergency preparedness.
  • Respond to urgent facility issues and participate in after hours response when assigned.
  • Perform hands on facility support and maintenance work when needed and within your training and authorization.
