About The Position

Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is seeking a Facilities Specialist to join their service-oriented Facilities team in their Midtown Manhattan offices. This is a new role that requires working onsite 5 days a week to meet the needs of employees across 9 floors. The Facilities team is dedicated to ensuring the facilities are safe and clean for all employees and guests, valuing people and team-building skills, and anticipating needs before they arise.

Requirements

• Ability to handle multiple, competing, priorities and pressure in a fast-paced environment
• 2 years of facilities experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Slack, Jira, & Building Engines is a plus
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 30lbs
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a propensity for action

Responsibilities

• Perform daily walkthroughs of the space to identify problems such as spills/trash, lighting issues, smells, missing nameplates, and property damage.
• Assist the Associate Manager of Facilities in facilities maintenance and operations.
• Manage all terrace landscaping, beverage machines, snacks/breakfasts, along with ordering inventory and supplies associated.
• Restock the kitchen regularly, wipe counters and tables, remove trash, clean high-touch areas like fridge handles and microwaves.
• Coordinate set up and break down for events and happy hours.
• Deliver mail and packages.
• Oversee vendor work and request/manage COIs.
• Execute office and desk moves.
• Perform minor carpentry repairs like patch/paint as well as installations of artwork and bulletin boards, shelving, etc.
