About The Position

As a qualified specialist in HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical, this position maintains, repairs, installs, removes, and makes recommendations for improving operations related to these systems based on their specialty, experience, and skillsets. The role involves performing assigned job duties with little or no supervision, including scheduled and non-scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property. The position also includes performing preventive maintenance, submitting parts requests, supporting exterior grounds activities, maintaining sanitation equipment, and supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of various building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water distribution, fire suppression, and sewerage facilities. Compliance with OSHA regulations and active participation in safety compliance procedures are required. The role involves maintaining and monitoring controls to ensure compliance with all federal, state, corporate, and property laws, policies, and mandates. Effective and positive interaction across departmental lines and being a team player are essential. The role may also involve performing other maintenance duties outside of specific skillsets, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Certified HVAC, refrigeration, or kitchen maintenance journeyman rating.
  • Ten years’ experience in large commercial or industrial building maintenance in plumbing, painting, HVAC, kitchen maintenance, refrigeration, carpentry, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and positively across departmental lines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, install, remove, and make recommendations for improving operations of HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical systems.
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance related to building maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Submit parts requests associated with repairs, upkeep, and improvements.
  • Support exterior grounds activities in the parking garage and other exterior areas.
  • Maintain all sanitation equipment.
  • Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, water distribution, fire suppression, and sewerage facilities.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations.
  • Be an active participant in Safety compliance procedures.
  • Maintain and monitor controls to assure full compliance with all federal, state, corporate, and property laws, policies, and/or mandates.
  • Interact effectively and positively across departmental lines.
  • Perform other maintenance duties outside of skillsets as assigned.
