About The Position

This position is part of the Facilities Department located in Coralville, Iowa and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to install, maintain, calibrate, and repair laboratory and mechanical equipment. Assist in developing SOP’s, IQOQ’s, calibration templates and work instructions for new and existing equipment. Provide leadership in multiple areas of expertise. Assists in developing ideas/making recommendations to management on improving/streamlining existing processes.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering, maintenance, or related field OR several years of experience in a directly related technical role, such as facilities maintenance or engineering
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing, including the creation of manual, user guides or technical documentation.
• Experience working with sketches, technical drawings, and blueprints.
• Ability to travel –10%
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to walk, stand, bend/kneel/crouch, and lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering field
• 5+ years of experience in a skilled trades or facilities maintenance field, with at least 2 years of experience working with HVAC and mechanical systems and demonstrated ability to install, maintain and calibrate Rees System sensors, and perform advanced troubleshooting and programming
• Proficient in SAP application for placing purchase requisitions, inventory/requisition lookup
