About The Position

The Facilities Specialist, under the guidance of the Manager of Facilities, is responsible for general maintenance and a variety of daily tasks to pro-actively maintain all Veridian facilities. This role requires an on-site presence, within the Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Iowa area, to effectively perform essential job duties and is therefore not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Requirements

High school diploma.
5+ years of related work experience.
Basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical experience.
Oral and written communication skills.
Member service focus.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Positive attitude that supports a team environment.
Dependable and punctual; flexible during peak times.
High level of confidentiality.
Organizational skills.
Self-motivated; ability to work without close supervision.
Problem solving; analysis.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Inspect all facilities on a regular basis and ensure that all building systems and operations are working efficiently.
Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry duties as required.
Assist Manager in coordination of building and remodeling projects.
Set up for meetings, etc., at the direction of Manager.
Responsible for pickup/delivery of supplies, etc., at the direction of Manager.
Responsible for pro-actively maintaining a professional image at all credit union offices (interior and exterior).
Store and properly discard confidential records as needed.
