About The Position

McKesson is seeking a Facilities Specialist to join our night-shift team due to expanded hours at our Central Fill Pharmacy site in Spring, Texas. The Facilities Specialist provides general maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations maintenance for all equipment used in the facility. This includes performing maintenance duties on office equipment, computer systems, electrical projects, light construction, conveyor systems, and automated robotic systems. The Facilities Specialist also works with outside contractors and vendors on some facilities and equipment repairs.

Requirements

  • Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience (1+ year facilities engineering experience preferred)
  • May have high school diploma, degree or equivalent
  • Electrical: Ability to measure voltage and current accurately and safely and to use this data to troubleshoot circuits
  • Trained to work with 460, 220, 120 VAC and 24-volt DC circuits
  • Knowledge and understanding of motor starting circuits and power distribution circuits
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and evaluate operations based on these schematics.
  • Ability to read ladder logic, download and upload PLC programs, and troubleshoot PLC functions
  • Ability to work with control circuits using such devices as: photo eyes, solenoid valves, limit switches, indicating lights and safety switches
  • Mechanical: Ability to align bearings, shafts, and drives, and adjust tension of belts and chains
  • Experience with lubricating, oiling and cleaning devices as specified in maintenance manuals, and ability to identify worn or damaged parts and replace them
  • Develop an overall maintenance schedule based on the requirements of each device
  • Experience working with pneumatic circuits involving cylinders and solenoid valves
  • Ability to maintain printers
  • Computer: Analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary
  • Troubleshoot network (ethernet) systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot cabling and I/O devices, and setup and analyze RS232/RS422 communications between computer(s) and peripheral devices
  • Physical requirements include 100% standing for extended periods of time, bending, lifting, and climbing
