About The Position

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Specialist II to help maintain safe, functional, and welcoming environments across our agency locations. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to maintaining environments where people can thrive. The role also participates in an on-call rotation for evening and weekend facility needs.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance (or equivalent)
Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems
Valid NYS Driver's License (acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier)
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and maintenance staff and complete projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

Performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep.
Assisting with renovation projects.
Conducting preventive maintenance inspections.
Operating power tools and equipment.
Supporting seasonal grounds maintenance, including snow removal.
Ensuring agency facilities remain safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for the people we support and our employees.
Participating in an on-call rotation for evening and weekend facility needs.
