Facilities Services Senior Director
About The Position
The Facilities Services Senior Director leads facilities strategies, programs, and teams that support restaurant readiness, operational excellence, asset reliability, and financial performance across Whataburger. The role develops scalable facilities and asset management solutions, maintenance strategies, and service models to improve restaurant uptime, service quality, and long-term asset performance. It partners across Operations, Finance, Development, Supply Chain, Technology, and Human Resources to align facilities services with business priorities and drive innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decisions. This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office and works onsite Monday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Fridays. The position involves strong collaboration with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners. It is fast-paced and calls for sound judgment, strategic thinking, and collaboration. Full-time availability is required, with occasional extended hours and travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of experience in facilities services, maintenance operations, or related fields.
- Experience leading multi-site operations and maintenance organizations.
- Experience developing and executing operational and financial strategies.
- Expertise in facilities services, asset management, and lifecycle planning.
- Experience managing large budgets, forecasts, and business cases.
- Experience leading leaders and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence decisions across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to adapt to and learn the technology platforms, systems, applications, and equipment used in the role.
- Must reside within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.

Responsibilities

- Partner with Finance on budgets, forecasts, and business cases.

- Optimize staffing, vendor, and service delivery models.
- Lead and develop multiple levels of leadership.

- Ensure compliance with safety, governance, and financial control standards.
