About The Position

The Facilities Mechanic supports a multi-building pharmaceutical packaging facility / cGMP environment in Allentown, PA. This role involves the safe operation and maintenance of various building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, fire life safety systems, doors, elevators, and the building envelope. The position requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance, documenting work in a CMMS, guiding vendors, conducting inspections, and responding to alarms. The Facilities Mechanic will also support facilities projects, GMP/GDP compliance, capital planning, and operational improvements, while identifying compliance gaps related to codes, safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability. The role may require working extended hours and collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of facilities mechanic or MEP trade experience.
• Strong HVAC, analytical, technical, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with CMMS, QMS and Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Biopharma cGMP experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with BAS controls preferred.
• Certification and/or licensure in one or more trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain warehouse and production buildings including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, fire life safety systems, doors, elevators and building envelope.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document work in CMMS.
• Guide vendors and obtain quotations for maintenance and replacement projects.
• Conduct inspections, rounds and readings; respond to BAS alarms.
• Support facilities projects, GMP/GDP compliance, capital planning and operational improvements.
• Work extended hours as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
• Identify code, safety, energy efficiency and sustainability compliance gaps.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
