Position Summary The Facilities Services / Housekeeping Technician performs a broad range of building maintenance and custodial duties to support the safe, efficient, and attractive operation of campus facilities. Responsibilities include plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs; general building maintenance; event setup support; snow removal; and housekeeping services. This position plays a key role in maintaining the overall safety, functionality, and appearance of campus buildings and grounds.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of experience in basic electrical and plumbing maintenance or related trades.
  • Practical working knowledge of multiple maintenance trades, with emphasis on building maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Broad knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs and respond to maintenance service requests.
  • Complete general maintenance, repairs, and facility modifications.
  • Participate in setup and breakdown for College events and functions.
  • Provide housekeeping and custodial services as needed.
  • Perform snow removal and assist with grounds maintenance.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency response.
