POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Projects Crew Lead is responsible for leading and actively participating in property improvement and maintenance projects across multiple locations. This role provides hands-on direction to team members while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards. This position supports a variety of projects including painting, light construction, repairs, and renovations in guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces. The Crew Lead is responsible for maintaining consistency in execution, supporting team development, and ensuring quality outcomes across all assigned properties. This role requires extensive travel (approximately 95-100%) and the ability to perform physical, hands-on work in a variety of environments.

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License Required
  • Eligibility for enrollment in Company Insurance
  • Ability to travel 90%
  • Ability to drive and tow trailers
  • Heavy equipment experience
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and consistent attendance
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, climb and walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to walk, climb ladders and work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 50 lbs. and often exert up to 20 pounds of force to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move objects

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 5+ Years Leading Crews
  • 5+ years Painting
  • Commercial painting experience (interior and exterior) of hotel systems
  • Multi-location or hospitality experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily work activities of assigned crew members
  • Assign tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance on tools, techniques, and processes
  • Support a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
  • Communicate project updates, challenges, and progress to leadership
  • Provide feedback on team performance and development opportunities
  • Perform a wide range of maintenance and improvement tasks including: Interior and exterior painting, Surface preparation and finishing, Light construction and repair work, Basic carpentry and general facility improvements
  • Complete work in guest rooms, hallways, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
  • Drive and tow equipment as needed
  • Support project timelines and assist in meeting completion goals
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and consistency across locations
  • Identify and correct deficiencies in workmanship or process
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and operational guidelines
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of job sites
  • Track materials, supplies, and project needs
  • Maintain documentation of work completed and progress updates
  • Comply with company timekeeping and attendance policies
  • Maintain flexibility to support changing project needs and schedules
  • Participate in company driving program as applicable
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
