About The Position

The Facilities Project Manager will bring structure, visibility, and execution discipline to Torus’s facilities and infrastructure work. This role will lead complex facilities projects across our Salt Lake GigaOne Headquarters and South Salt Lake sites, including equipment installs, infrastructure upgrades, utilities coordination, and manufacturing support initiatives. You will partner closely with facilities, fabrication, engineering, production, and leadership teams to evaluate project needs, align stakeholders, and build clear execution plans. This role is critical to helping Torus scale manufacturing responsibly by improving planning, reducing reactive work, and ensuring facility resources can support business priorities.

Requirements

  • PMP certification required.
  • 10+ years of project management experience in industrial, manufacturing, facilities, construction, or infrastructure-heavy environments.
  • Experience managing projects involving facility buildouts, heavy equipment installs, OEM coordination, or infrastructure upgrades.
  • Experience managing projects in the $1M–$10M+ range.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management systems such as Jira or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively across technical and executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with industrial systems and terminology, including mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and equipment installation requirements.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in advanced manufacturing, fabrication, facilities expansion, or production-support environments.
  • Experience supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT), equipment validation, and OEM/vendor coordination.
  • Experience with strategic facility initiatives such as utilities upgrades, fluid systems, storage infrastructure, or manufacturing line support.
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments where processes are still being built.
  • Ability to support or mentor junior project coordinators, interns, or junior PMs as the team grows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead facilities and infrastructure projects from planning through execution, including manufacturing equipment installs, utilities upgrades, facility improvements, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, action trackers, and stakeholder updates using Jira or equivalent project management tools.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to assess facility readiness, resource needs, risks, and project dependencies before work begins.
  • Drive project review and gate review processes to ensure new work is feasible, properly planned, and aligned with facility capability and business priorities.
  • Support capital projects by helping define scope, milestones, budgets, internal resource needs, and timing constraints.
  • Partner with facilities and engineering subject matter experts on infrastructure systems such as mechanical utilities, piping, pneumatics, hydraulics, and equipment integration.
  • Manage communication and follow-ups across Slack, meetings, and project documentation to ensure decisions and next steps are visible and actionable.
  • Present project status, constraints, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Help establish scalable project management processes that reduce reactive work and improve execution across facilities.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
