About The Position

Markon is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to support an Intelligence Community customer. The ideal candidate will have strong construction management experience and the ability to oversee complex facility and infrastructure projects from planning through execution. This role requires expertise in project oversight, contractor coordination, statement of work development, and review of construction drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will support compound master planning efforts, including prioritization, funding alignment, and budget development in a secure, mission-critical environment.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI FSP required
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field; or high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities project management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with MS Project or similar project management software
  • Strong construction management experience
  • Strong Statement of Work (SOW) writing skills
  • Ability to review construction drawings and specifications and identify design or construction issues
  • Working knowledge of generators, tertiary systems, and electrical circuits
  • Experience developing project schedules, cost estimates, and budget planning documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience supporting secure government or Intelligence Community facilities
  • Experience with classified project environments and infrastructure programs
  • Familiarity with MAXIMO or similar project management systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage project design and/or construction efforts, including schedules, funding, and day-to-day oversight
  • Manage and evaluate construction contractor performance
  • Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel and stakeholders
  • Evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests
  • Provide official weekly project status reports
  • Prepare and distribute project communications to customers, management, project teams, and stakeholders
  • Assist the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration
  • Support pre-bid and pre-construction site visits
  • Provide invoice support documentation for payment processing
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets
  • Provide technical guidance on contracting and construction-related issues
  • Direct design efforts and recommend construction documents for approval
  • Oversee follow-on maintenance programs as required
  • Optimize project cost, schedule, and performance to meet mission requirements
  • Conduct design reviews with customers
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation entry into MAXIMO project management software
  • Ensure integration of IT, telecommunications, security, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generator, and tertiary systems
  • Prepare Contractor Performance Reports (CPRs) at project closeout
  • Support compound master planning activities, including prioritization, schedule alignment with funding, and cost estimate development
