Mayo Clinic is seeking a Facilities Project Manager with international responsibilities. This includes leading problem-solving, decision-making, establishing implementation plans, budgets, and tracking project finances and schedules. The position requires matrix supervision of staff from various Mayo departments, external consultants, and contractors. The role demands extensive organization and planning skills to manage a diverse workload efficiently, with strong decision-making, attention to detail, and follow-through capabilities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills for various group sizes, are essential. Cultural sensitivity to international partners and clients is crucial, as is a working knowledge of Mayo Facilities or the ability to consult with other Project Managers. The role may involve committee participation, business evaluations, and financial analyses, requiring adaptability to varying international requirements and fluctuating workloads. The project manager must become a subject matter expert in construction and medical practice-related areas and coordinate with other subject matter experts. The individual is responsible for achieving cost, schedule, and quality objectives for assigned projects, advising leadership on progress, and proactively managing all project phases from initiation to occupancy. The position requires managing multiple facilities projects simultaneously and working effectively in a team environment. Off-hours oversight of projects or crisis management may be necessary. The International Project Manager must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of their time.
