The Teller County Public Works Department is seeking a Facilities/Parks Maintenance Technician II to perform daily routine and complex maintenance and repairs of County buildings and equipment across multiple locations. This role involves maintaining grounds, parks, and parking lots, and performing duties of Facilities/Parks Maintenance Technician I and III as needed to cover absences. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two to four years of relevant work experience, and knowledge of Microsoft products, basic tools, customer service, MSDS, and building codes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in computer use, have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication and time management skills, attention to detail, and pride in their workmanship. The ability to read and write instruction manuals, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, analyze and prioritize tasks, coordinate work requests, meet deadlines, and safely operate a variety of equipment is essential. The role also involves working in potentially stressful environments, including a jail facility, and requires the ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor in various environmental conditions.
