About The Position

This role is responsible for pallet maintenance, including sorting, repairing, and disposing of pallets. It also involves light company vehicle maintenance, scheduling services for the entire fleet, and communicating with the Travel and Events department for vehicle scheduling. The position requires the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles. Secondary responsibilities include facility and grounds cleaning, trash removal, event setup/teardown, preventative maintenance, snow/ice removal, and potentially covering for custodial staff. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) accurately
Good interpersonal skills, reading comprehension, and memory retention
Self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools
Ability to lift 70 lbs.
Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative
Ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements
Valid Driver License
Ability to enter Canada (increases starting rate)

Responsibilities

Sorting pallets as good or bad.
Loading bad pallets onto a scrap pallet trailer for disposal.
Replenishing and restacking skids in designated areas or departments.
Repairing defective pallets by cutting planks and using air nail guns, hand tools, and other tools in a safe manner.
Performing light company vehicle maintenance.
Scheduling service for the entire fleet of vehicles.
Communicating with the Travel and Events department for vehicle scheduling.
Scheduling services for fleet vehicles with local vendors.
Operating a forklift and pallet jack.
Driving company vehicles.
Understanding and comprehending industrial cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment, and using them efficiently and economically.
Cleaning and caring for the facility and grounds to ensure safe and healthy maintenance.
Collecting, removing, and disposing of trash and recyclables in office buildings and the warehouse.
Operating a cardboard compactor.
Providing event setup and teardown, including moving furniture and modules.
Assisting in performing preventative maintenance in the facility.
Cleaning snow and ice from walkways and parking lots as needed.
Representing Schluter Systems L.P. in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner in all matters.
Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Potentially covering for the Custodial Staff.
