About The Position

The lead painter for the Walmart AMP and Walton Arts Center will take direction as a part of the Facilities Department. Work orders and planned maintenance restoration of walls, fences, railings and grounds will be executed on an ongoing basis. The Walmart AMP is a seasonal concert venue and as such the full-time work will be spread across a second property, the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. Work hours will vary based on concert schedule. Some overnight and weekend on call work will be required.

Requirements

Demonstrates a working knowledge of solvents and paints
Demonstrates a working knowledge of plaster and drywall repair work
Demonstrates a working knowledge of various painting techniques and surface preparation
Demonstrates a working knowledge of airless paint spraying
Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment
Has a working knowledge of leak detection and water restoration of drywall
Has a working knowledge of pressure washing
Has a working knowledge of efflorescence removal
High school diploma or GED required
Comfortable with consistently adhering to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Strong communications skills and the ability to interact with many different types of people
An on-going desire to learn and improve
Ability to work independently as well as with others to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
3 years working professionally as a painter

Nice To Haves

Furniture repair a plus
OSHA certification Aerial and Scissor Lift certification a plus

Responsibilities

Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers or sealers
Prepares, cleans, and tapes all jobsites
Removes old paint coating, if necessary
Mixes colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency
Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned
Cleans up worksite debris
Ability to research to expand knowledge of paint and coverings for solutions as needed.
Represent Walton Arts Center / Walmart AMP at both on and off-site events, as requested
Maintain professional working relationships with teammates, fellow staff members from other departments, vendors, patrons, and tenants of leased spaces
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
Maintain security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
