About The Position

The Facilities Operations Lead is the primary steward of Root Whole Body's physical environment and operational readiness. This hybrid position combines facilities oversight with Spa Attendant leadership to ensure the building, equipment, treatment rooms, guest spaces, and operational systems consistently reflect Root's Guest Experience Standards. This role ensures our practitioners have a safe, clean, fully functioning environment, reliable equipment, and seamless operational support so they can focus entirely on delivering exceptional patient care. Success means the building, treatment rooms, and operational systems are consistently clean, stocked, organized, and ready - creating a welcoming and restorative experience for every guest. Approximately 16-20 hours each week are dedicated to facility maintenance and operational readiness, with the remaining hours supporting Spa Attendant operations and guest experience excellence. Time allocation will flex based on business needs and facility priorities.

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities, hospitality, maintenance, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable performing minor repairs and coordinating outside vendors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for maintaining logs, schedules, and documentation.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary steward of Root's building, equipment, and operational readiness.
  • Conduct daily building walkthroughs to identify maintenance, repair, and safety needs.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor facility repairs while coordinating outside vendors for specialized repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain Root's Facilities Log, including monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, internet, security, audiovisual systems, emergency preparedness equipment, and operational equipment.
  • Coordinate bi-annual IT and security audits, maintain equipment records, and ensure all inspections, maintenance, and repairs are documented and completed on schedule.
  • Chair Root's Safety Committee and facilitate bi-annual safety meetings with department leaders.
  • Lead Spa Attendant operations and uphold Root's Guest Experience Standards.
  • Train, coach, and support Spa Attendants on Root's Guest Experience Standards, operational procedures, and cleanliness expectations.
  • Oversee laundry, stocking, inventory, and organization of operational supplies.
  • Ensure all treatment rooms, guest areas, and back-of-house spaces remain clean, organized, stocked, and operationally ready throughout the day, including end-of-shift room and supply checks to prepare the facility for the following business day.
