Performs intermediate administrative work preparing and managing department budget, coordinating administrative functions of the Maintenance Department, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Maintenance Director. Works with the Director to ensure financial status is maintained; supervises and coordinates a variety of financial data including payroll, budgeting, disbursements, contracts, trust accounts and special grant funds. Prepares, processes, reviews, and analyzes accounts and prepares journal entries or budget adjustments; prepares budget amendments. Prepares, processes, and approves purchase orders and contracts for supplies and equipment. Processes invoices and expenditures; verifies available funds, validates batch and run batch payments. Manages office operations to include among other things: processing work orders, maintaining vehicle records, maintaining inspections/certificates, schedules, and project lists. Resolves financial problems and assesses the impact on Maintenance operations. Processes payroll and maintains personnel and payroll records. Prepares and processes various personnel related forms and documents, including status forms and performance evaluations. Gathers statistics and prepares annual statistical report and quarterly performance measurement reports. Performs related duties as required. Abides by, enforces and participates in the implementation and ongoing oversight of Randolph County Government safety standards and regulations.
