This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. As part of a hardworking team of versatile facilities specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will play a critical role in the daily operations and maintenance of our state-of-the-art HVAC and other environmental control systems. With nearly 2M square feet of buildings and 500 acres of property and associated utilities, you will not only be responsible for the HVAC and their associated controls, but also in responding to trouble calls where your skills may also apply. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electro/mechanical technician in industrial/commercial and/or lab/R&D environments.
  • Experience with PLC systems (preferably Siemens & Allen Bradley logic).
  • Aerial lift certified
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must be familiar with electrical codes.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Demonstrate technical ability in installation, repair and maintenance of industrial motorized systems.
  • Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work.
  • Provide excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Professional demeanor with outstanding customer focus.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Repair & troubleshoot Electro/Mechanical systems on industrial cranes, doors, and compressed air systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLC’s
  • Working at heights
  • Makes periodic inspection of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
  • Perform trouble calls for systems.
  • Monitor and escort sub-contractors to perform work.
