About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Manager of Facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily facilities, maintenance operations, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives for resort and Convention center maintenance. You will handle repairs, costs, guest satisfaction, and safety. You’ll also assist in maintaining the operation and physical appearance of the resort to assure the comfort of guests and qualify working conditions for associates. This is a hands-on, operational position that may require longer days, different shifts, and holidays. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure the resort environment is safe, fully operational, and visually well-maintained, so guests can enjoy a seamless and comfortable stay without disruption. At the same time, you will enhance the associate experience by maintaining reliable working conditions, responding quickly to maintenance needs, and fostering a safe, efficient facility where staff can perform their roles effectively.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a facility’s supervisory role.
  • Proven knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and other facility maintenance experience.
  • Prior experience with property management systems such as HOTSOS, work order process/electric recording systems.
  • Trade school and/or related field certificates, including HVAC, Electric, and plumbing.
  • Equipment knowledge and software that relates to engineering, carpentry, HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing repairs are helpful.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a Hotel/Resort facility is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pools, and overall resort infrastructure.
  • Lead, train, and supervise facilities teams to ensure timely completion of work orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and reduced downtime.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, vendor contracts, and repair costs while identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency.
  • Respond to and prioritize urgent facility issues affecting guest satisfaction, safety, or operational continuity.
