About The Position

Seres Engineering & Services is recruiting for the contract salaried position of Facilities Manager for Camp Rudder, Florida to support the Fort Benning Department of Public Works (DPW) Engineering Division. This will be a full-time position reporting to Camp Rudder daily Monday-Friday from 0730-1600, excluding Federal Holidays, typically with the potential for infrequent day travel for a meeting at Fort Benning, GA. Successful candidates will support DPW Engineering Division with new and renovation construction project management, oversight, documentation, and leadership briefing for 10 concurrent engineering/construction projects and all maintenance efforts for Camp Rudder. Work will include: independently managing assigned projects; developing scope of work for construction project solicitation; developing cost estimates; developing/reviewing/submitting project documentation to acquisition teams for solicitation; coordination of building closures and swing space assignment; driving project progress and execution; reviewing and ensuring compliance with environmental requirements; completing/submitting environmental review forms; sequencing and scheduling project work; conducting quality assurance and safety inspections; reporting and briefing leadership and other stakeholders on project status or concerns; providing surveillance documents to Contracting Officers Representatives; provide key performance and value additions to the project delivery team executing Fort Benning’s Sustainment and Construction Program; monitor, track, and report completion progress for all work orders; track and verify use of Army funding; review and validate financial reports for facility maintenance at Camp Rudder. Hiring and start date are contingent on contract award.

Requirements

  • Successful candidate will be required to independently complete tasks in the job description without other support personnel.
  • Must be able to satisfy background clearance for access requirements at Fort Benning, GA and Camp Rudder, FL, and Camp Merril, GA.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to traverse construction sites unassisted and access areas of construction to perform inspections of the work (e.g., barracks, mechanical rooms, roof areas, uneven terrain, unpaved surfaces).
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to communicate appropriately and professionally via email.
  • Must have a high school diploma plus 10 years of applicable professional experience; or possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or closely related field plus 5 years of applicable professional experience. Note: Battalion or higher-level operations management experience may be substituted for years of professional experience.
  • Must have experience working on military installations.
  • Extra consideration will be given to candidates with experience working on Army controlled facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • DPW of USACE project support experience
  • Experience and familiarity working with Fort Benning, Camp Rudder, or Camp Merrill.
