About The Position

Keep our hotel running like clockwork! We’re seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to maintain safe, efficient, and welcoming spaces for both guests and team members. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for hospitality.

Requirements

Strong understanding of building systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, and safety protocols.
Ability to effectively manage staff, supervise contractors, and motivate teams.
Capacity to identify and resolve facility-related issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders, including guests, staff, and vendors.
Proficiency in budget management, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Experience planning, organizing, and managing construction and maintenance projects.
Familiarity with building codes, fire safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
Ability to navigate various software tools to manage maintenance requests and schedules.
A high school or equivalent education is required.
Minimum of five years of prior facilities management, engineering, or building maintenance experience is required, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Must be available for on-call emergencies and willing to work weekends or holidays as business needs dictate.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications preferred, such as, EPA Universal or OSHA safety training.

Responsibilities

Manage renovation projects, capital projects, and other building-related tasks.
Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, including capital expenditures; prepare cost estimates and submit justifications for purchase.
Ensure the hotel complies with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and fire safety protocols.
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for services such as pest control, cleaning, pool maintenance, and elevators.
Implement and manage sustainability initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Communicate effectively with various departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and other relevant teams.
Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance facility maintenance, minimize equipment breakdowns, and extend asset lifespan.
Participate in the hotel’s emergency preparedness and response efforts, maintaining emergency equipment and systems.
Respond to after-hours facility emergencies as needed.
