Facilities Manager - NYC
About The Position
This position is for someone who has managerial and hands-on skills and who has the ability to hire, supervise, and direct Handypersons and contractors at a high-end social club and residential community. This position will require the capability to perform front-of-house client/contractor liaison meetings and/or discussions regarding the above outlined topics to best serve the client in a high-end social club and residential community in midtown Manhattan, NY. The requirements and duties described above may be modified or waived by the Company in its sole discretion without notice.
Requirements
- Basic to advanced knowledge and ability to oversee repairs and maintenance of various building systems and components.
- FDNY Certificates of Fitness, if requested, must be obtained within a timely manner.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the repairs and maintenance of: Flooring, Carpeting, Painting, Plastering, Drywall, Wall coverings, Appliances, Windows, Doors, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Porter Maintenance, Record keeping.
- Hire, supervise, and direct Handypersons and contractors.
- Perform front-of-house client/contractor liaison meetings and/or discussions.
